District 13

North American Pairs

“NAP”

 

Club Qualifying begins in June of 2008 and runs through August of 2008.  Unit & District 13 Finals are combined into a one day Saturday, September 13, 2008.

 

There are three flights determined by a player’s masterpoint total- Eligibility for Flights B & C is determined by the player’s master point holding on June 1, 2008

Flight A - Open event

Flight B - 0 to 2000 masterpoints

Flight C - 0 to 500 masterpoints & only open to Non-Life Masters

 

Stage 1:   Club Qualifying is held at the club level in June, July and August of 2008. Club Qualification is required to be eligible to participate in the Unit/District Final. The top 50% of each strata at a club site, plus anyone whose score is average or better, qualify to participate at the Unit/District level

Stage 2:   Combined Unit and District Final is the last stage that determines the top three 3 pairs in each flight that advance to the National Finals at the 2009 Spring NABC-in Houston, Texas

 

NAP Prize Money:

 

A fixed amount prize is awarded in each flight as follows:

1). In districts with three qualifiers, the 1st place qualifiers will receive $700 per person and the 2nd place qualifiers will receive $300 per person. The 3rd place qualifiers will be invited to participate in the national level finals, but do not receive a prize.

2).Districts with four qualifiers, the 1st & 2nd place qualifiers will receive $700 per person and the 3rd place qualifiers will receive $300 per person. The 4th place qualifiers will be invited to participate in the national level finals, but will not receive a prize.

3). Invited defenders will receive $700 per person.

4). No individual may collect two concurrent prizes.

Club Qualifying Games will be held Jun–Aug of 2008.  Qualifying results will be put up on the District 13 Website (www.acbl-district13.org) when available.  The plan is to put up a list of qualifiers (by player number) on the District 13 Website which means that the clubs must inform District 13 of the players that have qualified in the clubs.

DIRECTIONS TO THE DISTRICT 13 FINALS

 

 

From the West:

Drive in the center lane of I-94, passing the 84th St. exit (far right lane is 84th St. EXIT ONLY lane.). Get in the right lane and take the 68th and 70th Streets exit. Turn left onto 68th St., then left again to double back heading west on Connor St. to 76th St. (stay to the right do not get back on the freeway). Turn left (south) on 76th St. and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.

 

From the East:
Take the 68th and 70th Streets exit, traveling straight ahead (west) on Connor St. to 76th St. Turn left (south) on 76th St. and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.

 

From the North:
From Hwy 45 or Hwy 43, take I-94 to the 68th and 70th Streets exit. Head west on O’Connor St. to 76th St. Turn left (south) on 76th St. and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.

 

From the Southwest:
Take the I-894 bypass and exit at National Ave. Turn right (east) onto National Ave. and proceed to 84th St. Continue past Greenfield Ave. and proceed clockwise to the Fair's first open gate.
